I discovered some images from Banksy’s personal sketchbook, which apparently surfaced at his exhibition at the Bristol Museum. The sketchbook takes us into the brilliant mind that is Banksy, showing us his doodles, inspirations, seen and unseen works.

It’s really cool to see the thought process behind Banksy’s work. It really gives you a sense of how his ideas start and where they end up…

I found this crazy Snoop Dogg gig poster for his show at The National, in Richmond, VA. Designed by Tricia Kleinot, the print uses 6 color silk screen, and measures 18 x 24 inches. Two series will be up for sale soon, one even printed on hemp paper. How fitting!

Logorama is the winner of last week’s Academy Awards Best Animated Short. The 16 minute film, set in Los Angeles, is written and directed by François Alaux, Herve de Crecy and Ludovic Houplain of H5 (France).

Using about 2,500 logos as the setting, the short takes you into a world of corporate and brand logos where many stories intertwine and develop. I loved it, so I’m sharing Logorama in 2 parts…

Australian based Branding agency Mash created this limited edition wine bottle for Small Gully, a special range by wine maker Stephen Black. Simple hand written type was laser etched onto the surface of the glass resulting in a raw yet personal feel to the bottle. 

British street artist D*Face pays his own tribute to the Oscars by installing two large-sized Oscar statues in the Los Angeles area; at Mels Drive-In (above) and Runyon Canyon. With their flesh and bones exposed, the statues come with an engraving which states that “Beauty Is Skin Deep.”

“The Oscar ceremony represent the pinnacle of superficiality within the so-called “film industry,” where formula and money triumphs over independent creativity and risk. These sculptures are donated to all the actors, actresses and filmmakers of the City of Lost Angels whose talents will never see the light of day.

Never give up the struggle, believe in your dreams, try and break the system and remember if all else fails, resort to plastic surgery – it seems to work!?!” (D*Face)

Who can forget Slinkachu’s The Little People Project? Well now he’s back with a new mini installation titled the Chicken Tikka Disasta, done for the ‘Skullduggerous‘ group show in London.

“The show is in aid of the Bhopal Medical Appeal which aims to raise awareness and provide medical care for people still suffering the after-effects of the calamitous toxic gas leak that blighted the Indian city of Bhopal in 1984 – even today kids are still being born with birth defects and the environment is still affected. My installation is titled ‘Chicken Tikka Disasta’ – and is pretty much the closest most people in England to India and it’s people “… slinkachu

The Skullduggerous‘ group show is being held at The Pure Evil Gallery in London, from 4th-13th March, 2010.

Fustany, which means “My Dress” in Arabic, is the first luxury fashion directory and online media directory. Their aim is to promote and showcase fashion designers, boutiques, online stores, magazines, trends and events from around the world and keep them connected.

I love the mini interviews they do with the designers and boutique owners. Adds such a personal touch to the website.

I think I died I went to heaven when I saw Bakelab’s Tea Party Curio Box. Inspired by Alice in Wonderland, the box is filled with fun desserts like Cheshire Cat Macaroons, Unbirthday Cupcakes, and “Taste Me” Cookies. The goodies come wrapped with Alice-blue ribbon in a box labeled “We’re All A Little Mad Here.”
